Endurance Swim
(cannot use trademarked "Swim-a-Thon" name)

See how many lengths the kids can swim in an hour and get pledges/per length. Door to door soliciting for pledges is much easier in the summer (no scouts or school fund-raising). If many teams do it, there can be competition:

- Most $'s raised
- Average $'s per swimmer (fair to smaller teams)
- Most lengths by a swimmer, by age group
- Special award if anyone can do an hour of butterfly.

Homestead Farms
Fundraising:
Luminaries at Christmas and thanks to a talented mom ( she buys in bulk with another neighborhood ) this brings in about $900. dollars

We also sell Halloween candy.  We have an order form and each swimmer gets a couple houses in the neighborhood to sell to we buy it and deliver it brings in $400-to $500. dollars.

We also do a neighborhood garage sell. We set up a date we do the advertising and charge each family that wants to do it that weekend $20.00.

A couple years ago we started a central location where people could just drop off stuff.  We sell it and keep the proceeds last time we did it we got $1000. seems there was a lot of folks with extra stuff.

Homestead

Besides an all team annual trip to Waterworld, other ideas Homestead has done in the past include an Elitches day, individual age groups going to the movies, and an all team pancake breakfast.

SouthPark hosts a pancake breakfast for $5.00 per eater, a swim-a-thon, and a Dolphin clothing sale (baseball caps, t-shirts etc).
